This is one of the most common questions we get asked as a wedding photographer, and our suggestion is always the same, as soon as you possibly can. After you have confirmed a date and venue, invariably the next thing that should be on your list is your Wedding Photographer. Every week we have to turn away couples for peak wedding dates that I am already booked for, as I am only able to photograph one wedding a day.
Quite often I will see wedding magazines publish planning timetables – they can be quite useful, unfortunately these lists will often suggest booking a photographer 6-12 months before the wedding. However, if you are passionate about your wedding photography, have a photographer in mind, then please please please contact him or her ASAP as you will be disappointed if you leave it too long.
Fortunately we are among the wedding photographers who get fully booked each year earlier and earlier, usually 12-18 months and sometimes 2 years before the wedding - so please, if you would like me to photograph your wedding day, then don’t leave it too late - get in touch now.
Remember there are a lot of good wedding photographers out there - sadly the opposite is also very true, so spend time doing your research. Once you find the right photographer, book them right away - you will be glad you did. If you are looking for a 'genuine' documentary wedding photographer - one who will tell the real story of your day, please contact Andrew HERE
